reading preferences, name, and email. Additionally, we automatically gather data from your device,
including language settings, IP address, time zone, device type and model, device settings,
operating system, Internet service provider, mobile carrier, hardware ID, and other unique
identifiers (such as IDFA and AAID). This data is necessary for us to deliver our services, analyze
customer usage patterns, and serve advertisements.
To enhance our service and serve ads, we
utilize third-party solutions. Consequently, we may process data using solutions developed by
Facebook, Google, Twitter, Appsflyer, Amplitude, Firebase, Snapchat, Pinterest, Apple, Digital
Ocean, Vercel, AWS, Zendesk, PayPal, Stripe, Microsoft, and TikTok. Some of this data is stored and
processed on the servers of these third parties. This allows us to: (1) analyze various interactions

(and target them to specific user groups, such as subscribers). As a result, we gain a better
understanding of the features and content you value most, enabling us to focus on them, improve your
experience, and enhance the quality of our products.
Please review our Privacy Policy below
for more details on how we handle data (Section 2), your data privacy rights (Section 5), who the data controller
is (Section 12), and how to influence
personalized advertising (Subsection 2.8).

parties (for example, when you sign in using Google). Additionally, we collect data automatically
(such as your IP address) and employ third-party service providers for this purpose.

You furnish us with information about yourself when you register for and/or
utilize the Services. Examples include your reading preferences, name, and email address.
1.2 Data provided to us by third parties
When you choose to log in using Google, we obtain personal data from your
Google account. This includes your email, name, profile image, and Google ID. You can revoke the
access granted to us on the Apps Permissions page. To learn more about how Google processes your
data, please visit their Privacy Policy.
When you use Sign In with Apple to register an
account in the App, we receive personal data from your Apple ID account. This data may include,
specifically, your name and verified email address. You have the option to share your real email
address or an anonymous one that uses the private email relay service. Apple will present you with
their detailed privacy information on the Sign In with Apple screen. Apple allows you to revoke
access granted to the App in your Apple ID settings by following these steps.
Learn more about Sign In with Apple here.
When you choose to log in using Facebook,
we receive personal data from your Facebook account. This includes your profile image, name, and
Facebook ID. Unless you opt out on the Facebook login screen, we will also collect other data, such
as your email address. For more details, please consult the Facebook Permissions Reference (which describes the categories of

links to which those ads direct you).

Identifier for Advertising ("IDFA") or Google Advertising ID ("AAID"), depending on your device's
operating system. You can typically reset these identifiers through your device's operating system
settings (though we do not control this process).

When you
make payments through the Services, you must provide financial account data, such as your credit
card number, to our third-party service providers. We do not collect or store full credit card

date, time, and amount of the transaction, and the type of payment method used.
e.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on a user's computer for record-keeping
purposes. Cookies can be either session cookies or persistent cookies. A session cookie expires when
you close your browser and is used to facilitate navigation within our Services. A persistent cookie
remains on your hard drive for an extended period. We also utilize tracking pixels that set cookies
to assist with delivering online advertising.
Cookies are used, in particular, to
automatically recognize you upon your next visit to our website. Consequently, information you
previously entered in certain fields on the website may automatically reappear the next time you use
our Services. Cookie data will be stored on your device, typically for a limited duration.
2. Purposes for Processing Personal Data
We process your personal data:
2.1 To provide our Services
This includes enabling you to use the Services seamlessly and preventing or
addressing Service errors or technical issues.
To host personal data and enable the operation
and distribution of our Services, we utilize cloud platforms for on-demand deployment, related
hosting, and backend services: Digital Ocean (Data Processing Agreement), Google Cloud (Privacy
Policy), Vercel (Privacy Policy), and Namecheap (Privacy Policy).
We use Firebase Performance Monitoring,
Firebase Crash Reporting, and Crashlytics, which are monitoring services provided by Google. To
learn more, please visit Google's Privacy Policy, Privacy and Security in Firebase, and Crashlytics' Data Collection Policy.
Clarity is a user behavior
and website debugging analytics tool. We use it to understand how users interact with our Services
through session replays and heatmaps. Clarity was developed by Microsoft, so you can find more
information about Clarity's approach to privacy in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
2.2 To customize your experience
We process your personal data, such as your reading preferences, to tailor the content of the Services and provide offers customized to your individual preferences. As a result of this processing, we will display more books in the App from categories like "Self-Growth," for example.
2.3 To manage your account
We process your personal data to secure your access to your personal account and send you technical notifications or emails concerning the performance of our Services, security, payment transactions, and notices regarding our Terms and Conditions of Use or this Privacy Policy.
2.4 To communicate with you regarding your use of our
Services
We communicate with you through methods like push notifications or emails.
These communications may include reminders and motivational messages encouraging you to continue
reading, or other information about the Services. For instance, you might receive a daily push
notification at a specific time reminding you to read. To opt out of receiving push notifications,
you need to adjust the settings on your device. To opt out of receiving emails, you should click the
unsubscribe link in the footer of our email.
The services we use for these purposes may
collect data concerning the date and time when the message was viewed by our App's users, as well as
when they interacted with it, such as by clicking on links included in the message.
To
communicate with you, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging, a message sending service provided by Google.
Firebase Cloud Messaging enables us to send messages and notifications to users of our App across
platforms like Android and iOS. We integrate Firebase Cloud Messaging with Firebase Analytics to
create analytics-based audiences and track opening and conversion events. Consequently, we can, for
example, send encouraging messages to users who have recently installed the App. Please refer to Google's
Privacy Policy for more details.
2.5 To provide you with customer support
We process your personal data to address your requests for technical
support.
We utilize our own ticketing system to manage customer inquiries. When you submit
inquiries through a contact form or via email, we store the details you provide via our ticketing
system, which allows us to track, prioritize, and efficiently resolve your requests.
2.6 To research and analyze your use of the
Services
This helps us to better understand our business, analyze our operations,
maintain, improve, innovate, plan, design, and develop the Services and our new products. We also
use such data for statistical analysis purposes, to test and improve our offers. This enables us to
better understand what features and categories of books our users prefer, and what categories of
users utilize our Services. Consequently, we often decide how to improve the Services based on the
results obtained from this processing. For example, if we discover that users more frequently read
book summaries from the "Productivity" category, we may create and introduce more book summaries
into this category.
To perform research and analysis about how users interact with our
Services, we use Appsflyer. Appsflyer enables us to understand, in particular, how users find us
(for example, the advertiser that delivered an ad to users, which led you to our Services).
Appsflyer also provides us with different analytics tools that enable us to research and analyze the
use of the Services - Privacy Policy, Opt-Out.
We use Facebook Analytics, a service provided by
Facebook that allows us to use different analytical tools. On Facebook Analytics, we obtain, in
particular, aggregated demographics and insights on how many people access the Services, how often
users make purchases, and other user interactions within the Services -
Privacy Policy.
To analyze how visitors use our Services and to measure the
effectiveness of some ads, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis program from Google. In order to
provide us with analytics, Google Analytics places cookies on your device. On Google Analytics, we
obtain, in particular, aggregated information on the data you enter on our Services and user
interactions within the Services. Google allows you to influence the collection and processing of
information generated by Google, in particular, by installing a browser plug-in, available here.
We also use Amplitude, an analytics service provided by
Amplitude Inc. We use this tool to understand how customers use our Services. Amplitude collects
various technical information, including time zone, type of device (phone or tablet), and unique
identifiers (such as IDFA). Amplitude also allows us to track various interactions (like entering
your reading goals) that occur on the App or the Website. Consequently, Amplitude helps us to decide
what features we should focus on. Amplitude provides more information on how they process data in
its Privacy
Policy.
To track and analyze the behavior of our Services' users (specifically, how
they react to changes in the App's or Website's structure, text, or any other component), we use
Firebase Remote Config. Firebase Remote Config is an A/B testing and configuration service provided
by Google - Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
We also use Firebase
Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google. In order to understand Google's use of data,
consult Google's Partner Policy (see also, Firebase Privacy information and Google's
Privacy Policy).
2.7 To send you marketing communications
We process your personal data for our marketing campaigns. We may add your
email address to our marketing list. Consequently, you will receive information about our products,
such as special offers. If you prefer not to receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe
by following the instructions in the footer of the marketing emails.
We may send you push
notifications for marketing purposes. To opt out of receiving push notifications, you must change
the settings on your device.
We utilize AWS SES to deliver emails to our users.
2.8 To personalize our
ads
We and our partners, including Facebook and Google, utilize your personal data

you have installed our App, you might see advertisements for our products in your Facebook
feed.
How to opt out of or influence personalized advertising:
-
iOS: On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy & Security >
Apple Advertising and deselect Personalized Ads.
-
Android: To opt-out of ads on an Android device, go to Settings >

also reset your advertising identifier in the same section (this may also help you to see fewer
personalized ads).

going to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy, selecting
Apple Advertising, and deselecting Personalized Ads.
-
Windows: On your laptop running Windows 10, select Start > Settings >

Google allows its users to
opt out of Google's personalized ads and to prevent their data from being used by Google
Analytics.
We value your right to influence the ads you see; therefore, we are informing you
about the service providers we use for this purpose and how some of them allow you to control your
ad preferences.
We use Facebook Pixel on the Services. Facebook Pixel is a piece of code
placed on the Services that collects data to help us track conversions from Facebook Ads, build
targeted audiences, and remarket to people who have taken specific actions on the Services (for
example, made a purchase).
We use Facebook Ads Manager in conjunction with Facebook Custom
Audience, which enables us to choose audiences that will see our ads on Facebook or other Facebook
products (e.g., Instagram). Through Facebook Custom Audience, we can create a list of users with
certain sets of data, such as an IDFA, and select users who have completed specific actions in the
App (for instance, installed it). Consequently, we may ask Facebook to show certain ads to a
particular list of users. This may result in more of our ads appearing while you are using Facebook
or other Facebook products (e.g., Instagram). You can learn how to opt out of advertising delivered
to you through Facebook Custom Audience here.
Facebook also allows its users to influence the
types of ads they see on Facebook. To learn how to control the ads you see on Facebook, please go
here or adjust your ad settings on Facebook.
Google Ads is an ad delivery service provided by
Google that can deliver ads to users. Specifically, Google allows us to tailor ads so they appear,
for example, only to users who have performed certain actions with our App (e.g., showing our ads to
users who have purchased a subscription). Other examples of events that may be used for tailoring
ads include, in particular, installing our App. Google allows its users to opt out of Google's
personalized ads and to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics.
We also use
Twitter Ads (Privacy Policy) provided by Twitter to deliver advertising. Twitter Ads enables us to
choose specific audiences based on geographic areas or user interests. Consequently, we may ask
Twitter to deliver our ads to certain lists of users. You may opt out of Twitter's internet-based
advertising.
We use Pinterest Ads to deliver group-based advertisements. For example, you may
see our ads if you are interested in specific services, information, or offers. For more
information, please refer to the Pinterest Privacy Policy.
TikTok Ads is a service provided
by TikTok that can deliver ads to its users. The ads can be tailored to specific categories of users
(for instance, based on their geographical location). For more information, please refer to TikTok's
Privacy Policy.
We also use Snapchat Advertising Platform (Privacy Policy) together with
Snapchat Audience Based Match, which is an ad delivery service provided by Snapchat that can link
the activity of some users of our Services with the Snapchat advertising network and show some of
our ads to them. As a result, you may see more ads on Snapchat if you use our Services. Snapchat
allows you to opt out of their audience-based ads.
We use Microsoft Advertising to promote
our Services. You can find more information on how we do this in the Microsoft Advertising privacy
policy.
LinkedIn Marketing Solutions allows us to engage a community of LinkedIn users in our
marketing activity. You have choices about the data that LinkedIn collects about you. For more
information, please refer to the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
2.9 To process your payments
We offer paid products and/or services within the Services. For this purpose,
we utilize third-party services for payment processing (for example, payment processors). As a
result of this processing, you will be able to make a payment for a subscription, and we will be
notified that the payment has been made.
We will not store or collect your payment card
details ourselves. This information will be provided directly to our third-party payment
processors.
We use Stripe (Privacy Policy) to process your payments.

3. Legal Bases for Processing Your Personal Data (Applicable Only to
EEA-Based Users)
